An older man reading by the aeroplane window, comfortable in his seat

6 reasons travellers love LightLegs

(number 6 says it all)

01

Less swelling during flights

Infographic of a LightLegs sock showing graduated compression: firmest at the ankle, gradually easing up the calf

Five hours in the same seat, and your ankles feel tight and heavy. LightLegs are firmest at the ankle, easing off up the calf. So your legs feel lighter, even on long-haul.

02

Comfort through long flights

There's no room to stretch out in economy. LightLegs are knitted thin and flexible, nothing like bulky flight stockings. So they stay comfortable from take-off to landing.

03

No tight band mid-flight

In a cramped seat, a tight sock band digs into your calf for hours. LightLegs have a top band that stretches with your calf. So nothing presses, however long the flight.

04

Step off feeling fresh

The moment you stand up after a long flight, your legs feel stiff and heavy. LightLegs support them for the whole flight. So they're ready for the walk to passport control.

05

Wear them all holiday

Most flight socks come off the moment you land. LightLegs look like ordinary knee-highs, with the support knitted in. Wear them for the sightseeing, the long walks and the flight home.

Yes. LightLegs are firmest at the ankle and ease off up the calf, so your legs get support the whole time you're sat still. You land with lighter legs instead of heavy, stiff ones.

Yes. The knit is thinner and stretchier than prescribed stockings, so they pull on easily, even in a small space. If you'd rather not bother in your seat, put them on at home before you leave.

No. They're thinner and lighter than prescribed stockings, so there's far less fabric on your legs. They feel like a light pair of long socks, not a layer you're stuck in.

No. They come in five everyday colours and look like ordinary long socks, not hospital stockings. With shorts, people see a pair of knee-highs. Under trousers, nobody sees them at all.

Then you get your money back. Take them on your trip, and if they're not for you, get in touch within 30 days, even if you've worn them. Wrong size? We'll send you a new pair.

I was worried they'd look like medical stockings, but honestly they just look like ordinary socks. I've worn them to the pub, on walks and while gardening without anyone noticing.

I'll be honest my wife picked these out. I told her I didn't need them. Three weeks later I wear them every day for work. They look like normal socks, they're comfortable all day and my legs actually feel decent by the time I get home. Wish I'd started wearing them sooner.

I'm on my feet all day in the warehouse and by 3pm my legs used to feel done. These have made the last few hours a lot more manageable. Didn't expect much for the price but they've held up well after regular washing too.

First compression socks I've actually stuck with. Easy to pull on, comfortable all day and they don't roll down like others I've tried. Worn them for hours and forgotten they're on. Washed them plenty of times and they still fit perfectly

Wasn't expecting much, but these have been brilliant. Easy to put on, comfortable all day, and my legs feel a lot less heavy by the evening.

    FAQ

    About LightLegs

It means the sock is firmest at the ankle and gently eases off as it goes up the calf. LightLegs are knitted that way from ankle to knee, in a thin, stretchy nylon-spandex fabric.

Turn the sock inside out down to the heel, slip your foot in and settle the heel in place. Then roll the rest up your leg rather than pulling it. If you use a sock aid, LightLegs work with that too.

Go by your calf measurement, not your shoe size. Our size guide takes you through it in a minute. If they don't fit, email us and we'll send you the right size free of charge.

Wash at 30°C and let them air dry. Avoid the tumble dryer and hot washes, as heat is what wears out the stretch in compression socks. Our 4-pair bundle comes with a free mesh laundry bag to protect them in the machine.

LightLegs are made for everyday comfort, not to treat a medical condition. If you have a condition, or you've been prescribed compression stockings, please check with your GP or nurse before swapping or adding them.
