Why do I need a separate bag, can't I just wash them loose?
You can, but compression fabric snags easily on zips, buttons and rougher items in a normal wash. A mesh bag keeps LightLegs separate from the rest of the load so nothing catches or pulls at the fibres.
Does skipping this really damage the compression?
Not always, but repeated snagging and tangling in the drum is what tends to loosen the stretch over time. This is a simple way to avoid that risk without changing how you wash.
Isn't this just one more thing to keep track of?
It's small enough to live in your laundry basket or drawer, so it's normally just there when you need it rather than something you have to go looking for.

Wash them properly, without thinking about it

Compression fabric doesn't need special treatment, just a bit of protection from what's tumbling around it. Zips, hooks and rougher fabrics in a normal wash can snag and pull at the fibres over time.

Pop your LightLegs in the mesh bag, throw it in with the rest of the wash as usual, and they come out the same as they went in.

How many pairs can I wash in it at once?
A couple of pairs at a time works best, so the mesh isn't overstuffed and water can move through properly.
What temperature should I wash LightLegs at?
A cool, gentle cycle is safest for the compression fibres. Check the care label on your socks for the exact setting.
Can the bag itself go in the tumble dryer?
Yes, the bag can be tumble dried, though we'd still recommend air-drying the socks themselves to protect the compression.
Will it be delivered with my sock order or separately?
